Another year gone by, another year end blog post! I know you were just itching with anticipation for this one 😛 .
No matter what you thought about 2016, I think we can all agree it was filled with good and bad, losses and gains, disappointments and pleasant surprises.
I had a few “bads” this year: I lost two very dear ladies whom I loved as grandmothers, I got pneumonia again (for the third time in my life) during my 30th birthday and was unable to fully participate in the amazing surprise party my family threw for me, I allowed stress to get the better of me and then struggled to get my hormonal health back in order because of it, and got the shit scared out of me when my mom had to go to the E.R. because a dizzy spell sent her crashing to the concrete at her painting class. All of these things made me fully realize how much I have taken my loved ones, and my good health for granted, and how I need to make caring for my health and my loved ones’ health a priority because without good health, there’s not a lot you can do!
There were of course good things. Lots of good things: I got engaged to the love of my life, went on my first real solo trip (first of many more I hope <3), flew first class and met the First Lady of the United States, received a sterling silver pendant from my hula teacher in honor of dancing with the halau for 15 years, and got more opportunities to travel and make memories, and spend time with people I love.
To conclude this New Year post I just want to say that I hope you realize how integral your presence is in not only my little world but THE world, dear readers. For every human has a purpose, and a potential to use their purpose to be a light that inspires others to be better. YOU inspire me to be better and for that I am very grateful!
I hope you have a happy 2017 filled with infinite blessings , good fortune, and LOTS of adventure!
xoxo,
Jamie
