Mt. Baldy Winter Wonder

There are very few worries that cannot be quelled by spending a few moments in the serenity of nature. Lately, I seem to have a fondness for escaping to the mountains when I crave some time to reflect. There is something about the high altitudes that seem to change my perspective and make me feel like I am standing above whatever is weighing on my mind. One of the most beautiful places to absorb the rejuvenating energy of Mother Nature is Mt. Baldy.

This mountain escape is located in San Bernardino County and offers snow lovers and outdoor enthusiasts a plethora of activities to enjoy such as tubing, snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. To recuperate and refuel from a day of fun, you can rest your head and fill your bellies at any of the rustic lodges and restaurants around the mountain. I simply like to find a quiet corner, preferably next to the stream or hidden by trees, and snap pictures. Although, if the opportunity arises to enjoy some tubing or snowboarding with a fun group I’m sooo IN!

This holiday weekend, a passing winter storm left many places in Southern California blanketed with sparkling white snow. This happens almost never here and everyone was just mystified by this cold, white, powdery phenomena falling from the sky. It’s not often that Southern Californians are treated to a real Winter Wonderland.
